Denise Lamothe About Dr. Denise Lamothe

Question of the Day

Q: Dr. Lamothe,

why is it so hard to stay focused and permanent? just when you think you have it licked, you slide into your old habits again? I am also a compulsive eater.

A: Dear Birdie,

When you think you are there, there is no there there. This is because we cannot do it perfectly every single minute. That is not the human way. Think of it this way: You are perfect just as you are, but you can't behave perfectly all the time -- none of us can. We are all works in progress. The idea is to stay in balance as much of the time as possible.

Be well,
