Q: my 23 year old 4 ft 9 73 pound daughter was thought to be anorexic. Now it looks as if her growth hormones and estrogen and progesterone are low or non exsistant. We see the dr. Next week. He wants her on estrogen therapy. She has not had a period since last year when she weighed 93. She has had many symptoms of menopouse. If she has to go on estrogen, can a natural one be used? I hate to see her already so young on hormones.thank you
A: Dear Nancy:
Yes, a natural "human Identical" hormone regimen could be used. Once you go to see the doctor, then let me know the regimen that he or she suggests and I will then email you the equivalent dose in a sublingual tablet form (gives best absorption)and she will use it under the tongue two times a day. We do ship everywhere and accept hundreds of insurance plans. I assume that anorexia has been ruled out?
We also have a very good price for growth hormone injectable if that is prescribed for her. Be sure to check all the hormones, full thyroid panel, Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, and DHEA. I would very much like to be the pharmacist part of helping her solve this medical condition.
